'Looking different' is a small difference, all Word displays of the same version work the same. Retail versions of Office look different than Microsoft 365 editions. Click on the Word menu item in the macOS menu bar, then choose General. If there is an Office theme dropdown, you can choose Classic or Colorful. In any version, you can choose to. Under Office Updates, the exact version number and build number are listed. To find out whether your version of Office is 32-bit or 64-bit, click “About Word”. The version and build number are listed at the top of the About dialog box along with either “32-bit” or “64-bit”. Click “OK” to close the dialog box. Start Microsoft Word or any other Office app and look at the splash screen. When you start any Microsoft Office app, before it loads, it quickly displays a Starting screen. This screen is shown for a second or two, and it tells you the name of the app that you are using and the version. Here is the starting screen for Word, in Microsoft. Get intelligent suggestions in the Editor Overview pane in Word and let Editor assist you across documents, email, and on the web.
